I am resolved

....to blog more! I follow a couple blogs and I love them, and I get so inspired by them. Since I have not blogged since March, here is the update.
This is me. Wearing my favorite sweatshirt from Evy's Tree

This is my life.
This is my husband on his schools poster. He is studying to be a minister. I'm his #1 fan! You can hear him here and here .
This is is regular grade on his Greek quizzes at school (I secretly wish I was good like this when I was in college).

And you know what is new and exciting??!!?! My sister-in-law Mary and I are starting a business. We are making these....

You can check them out Here. If you like them, order one :)

Winter Stew and Monday Encouragement

He will do just as much for us as we let Him do in us.
The power that saved us, washed us with His own blood,
filled us with might by His Spirit, kept us in manifold temptations,
will work for us, meeting every emergency,
every crisis, every circumstance, and every adversary.
AMEN!

Winter Stew
Lee Sauers, Mifflinburg, PA.

1 small head cabbage, chopped
4 medium onions, diced
4 medium potatoes, diced
1 28-ounce can tomatoes, diced
1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
2 pounds Italian sausage, fried and drained
4 cups beef or chicken broth
2 cups V-8 vegetable juice
1 15-ounce can beans (kidney, black or pinto)
Salt to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in a large, oven-proof stew pot. Cover and bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours until tender, stirring occasionally. If necessary, add more broth or tomato juice. Serve with homemade bread or biscuits. Drizzle with vinegar if desired. This stew freezes beautifully.

* I put all the ingredients in my crock pot and set it on high for a couple hours. This soup is AMAZing! AND easy.

Happy Monday, Shanda

New Skirt

I fell in love with this material when I saw this shirt at body central. There was a ruffle at the top of the shirt but I had already removed it before I took this picture...ooops! I'm not into tub tops like this and thought maybe I could make it into a skirt. So here is my attempt.

Here is the skirt with the ruffle that I replaced but a couple inches lower.

And here it is on...I really like it. I can dress it up or dress it down.

You know what the best part is? My three year old modeling my boots :)

New Scripture Sign and My Sweet Macy

Here is my little beam of sunshine dancing around my feet as I figure this out.

Alright before I go. I just wanted to show you what I made. Its an old distressed piece of wood and I hand wrote a scripture verse on it. If you are interested in one, let me know. I can custom order with your favorite scripture verse. I charge $25.00. You can find it here.

Good Afternoon!! This is my first blog...yay. I really don't know how to do this yet. ha! I'm sure I will with time. I want to dedicate this blog to my family. Mom and Dad Davis, Mom and Dad Dave, Dad and Sandy, Brian and Sydney, and my best friend Mary Ruth (sister-in-law). This is for y'all to keep updated with me on what I do and make around my house. Maybe it will inspire someone else or give someone an idea to create. Enjoy!
